Thy Kingdom Come Thy Will Be Done
Thy kingdom come thy will be done was on the minds of Gods people for a long time before Christ was born. They were already praying thy kingdom come however, they were looking for a king to come and take down the Roman Empire and establish a new physical kingdom. It was normal for them to think that was since those are the only kind of kingdoms that ever existed. Do we make that same mistake today?
As I was saying, the Jews were looking for the Messiah to come. The Old Testament prophesied the coming of a King and a new kingdom. The problem they had was what kind of kingdom it was going to be. Do you remember in John 6:15 right after He had fed the five thousand? They wanted to take Him by force to make Him their King. The people observed what He could do with 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish and thought, if He could feed all of us with a few loaves and a couple of fish, what could He do with a few chariots, and a few weapons? They figured this Jesus could outfit a whole military. His disciples didn’t even understand the nature of the kingdom until after He was raised from the dead.
Thy Kingdom come thy will be done was what King Jesus prayed for daily during His ministry. When He was teaching His followers how to pray, thy kingdom come was included in that teaching. It is an important lesson from Jesus. He is teaching them when praying we should always include doing God’s will. We should always pray Thy kingdom come ,God’s will be done in our day lives. It is very important for us to know that bringing God’s kingdom to earth was God’s will. In fact, That is why He came to earth. In Luke 4:43 Jesus said “I must also preach the kingdom of God to the other cities, because I was sent for this purpose.” John the Baptist prepared the way for Jesus telling all the people in the region in Matthew3:2 “Repent, for the Kingdom of heaven is at hand. And in Matthew 4:17 Jesus Himself from then on started telling the people “Repent, for the Kingdom of heaven is at hand. When we understand the purpose for why Jesus came, it makes understanding all His teachings much easier to understand. It adds a new dimension to the whole New Testament. What you read will now make more sense.
So now we know for what purpose Jesus came. He came to set up the Kingdom of God here on the earth, because that was God’s will, and why Jesus prayed “Thy kingdom come Thy will be done”. We read, in Luke 9:27 He told the crowd who was following Him, “But I say to you truthfully, there are some of those standing here who will not taste death until they see the kingdom of God.” Can you imagine Jesus looking at you when He said that?
Thy kingdom come was a big part of Jesus prayer because He came to accomplish the will of the Father. Unfortunately, people still pray that prayer even though the kingdom has already arrived. Many believe and teach others that our King will set up His kingdom when He comes again. That is a doctrine of Satan. When Jesus returns, it will be too late. Only those who belong in the Kingdom of God will have eternal life. Why? Because His kingdom is now and everlasting. Once a person is Born Again, he starts his eternal living and enters the eternal kingdom of God. That’s why we are told to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. We learn all about this in our search.
Can you recall what God’s will was for Jesus? He prayed thy kingdom come they will be done. Yes -He came to establish the kingdom of God. Do you know what God’s will is for you? Yes – To seek first His kingdom and His righteousness. God insist that we be born again as instructed by Jesus in John 3:3. May I recommend reading John 3:3-8 This is when we become children of God. You cannot enter the kingdom of God unless you do because Jesus says only those who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
Paul tells us in Colossians 1:13 For He transferred us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son. That scripture does not say “will transfer” it says transferred us in the past tense, already been done. Lastly, Revelations 1:6 John also says “and He made us into a kingdom. He didn’t say “will make us into” He made us into a kingdom already where He sits at the right hand of God reigning over His kingdom. Yes – the one He came to establish. The kingdom he prayed would come. God’s will that was accomplished.
After Jesus taught us how pray using Thy Kingdom come thy will be done in His instructions, He later went about teaching more about His kingdom and instructs all of us in Matthew 6:33 to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and He would provide for all our needs. Another question, why would Jesus tell us all to seek the kingdom if we wouldn’t be able to find it? Once we are born again and we receive His Holy Spirit to guide us, how can we not find it? Ask and it shall be given, (hunger and thirst for righteousness) seek and ye shall find, (the kingdom of God) knock and it shall be opened unto you. (now you can enter the kingdom of God. Amen!
Finally, have you ever considered what Jesus meant in Matthew 7:21-23 “Not everyone who says to Me, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven; but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to Me on that day, Lord Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles? “And them I will declare to them, I never knew you; Depart from Me, You who practice lawlessness.
Do you still remember what God’s will was for Jesus? He prayed thy kingdom come they will be done. He came to establish the kingdom of God. Do you remember what God’s will is for you? To seek first His kingdom and His righteousness. We must be born again as instructed by Jesus in John 3:3. May I recommend reading John 3:3-8 This is where we become children of God. You cannot enter the kingdom of God unless you do. Read back on this lesson to where Jesus says “but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven”.
Unfortunately, those that called Him Lord Lord and did all those good works were religious and church going people. Their problem is that they want Christ as Lord on their terms according to their will. They never entered the kingdom so that is why Jesus says I Never knew you. Satan has deceived the whole world. The immoral people are not a problem for Satan nor are the people that believe there is a God but not in a way to die to themselves and learn and do the will of God. You see?, they have it all backwards, these people each have their own personal kingdom and want God to come into their kingdom and expect Him to do their will. That is nothing but being religious.
Thanks to God, as we grow in the kingdom, we can become partakers of the divine nature and escape the corruption that is in the world. 2 Peter 1:4. Hallelujah Thy Kingdom did come, His will was also done! Do you want to live in God’s kingdom? Are you willing to pay the price? When you hear someone pray the sinners prayer (not anywhere in the bible) they are asking Jesus to come into their heart. Basically saying, I want you to forgive my sins and come into my kingdom and stay with me until I die. They didn’t get the message that Jesus says we have to die first and then we can come into His kingdom. Ask, Seek, & Knock!
For Thine is the Kingdom, the Power, and the Glory! Amen.

Seek First the Kingdom of God
In Matthew 6:33, Jesus imparts a profound teaching when He says, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.” This powerful phrase encapsulates a key principle of Christian faith, emphasizing the importance of prioritizing one’s relationship with God above all else. Delving deeper into its meaning unveils timeless wisdom that resonates with believers across generations.
To understand the significance of this verse, it is essential to consider its contextual setting. In the preceding verses, Jesus has addressed the crowd, teaching about the worries of life, such as food, clothing, and material possessions. He encouraged His listeners not to be overly consumed by these concerns, emphasizing that God knows their needs and will provide for them.
“Seek ye first” points us to an active pursuit. It calls upon each of us to prioritize and diligently strive for something of utmost importance. In this case, Jesus implores His followers to prioritize the “kingdom of God” above all other pursuits.
So then, what is the kingdom of God? The “kingdom of God” refers to the reign of God, His sovereignty and absolute authority over all of His creation. On a personal level, it is God’s reign in the hearts of believers, the establishment of His divine principles, and the fulfillment of His will. It signifies aligning our lives with the values, teachings, and purposes of God as He has revealed them through scripture. Seeking the kingdom of God involves acknowledging God as the ultimate authority and center of our lives, intentionally placing Him above all other worldly ambitions and desires.
Additionally, Jesus mentions seeking “His righteousness” alongside the kingdom of God. This call for righteousness refers to a life characterized by moral integrity, holiness, and obedience to God’s commandments. It entails striving to live in harmony with God’s will and embodying the principles taught by Jesus.
The last part of the verse contains a promise: “and all these things shall be added unto you.” Jesus assures His followers that when they make seeking God’s kingdom and righteousness their primary focus, their needs and desires will be met. While material needs are not the central concern, this promise assures believers that God will provide for them as they prioritize their relationship with Him.
The message conveyed in Matthew 6:33 holds great relevance in today’s fast-paced and materialistic world. It challenges each of us to examine our priorities and invest our time, energy, and resources in pursuing a close relationship with God. By doing so, we will discover a deeper sense of purpose, find solace in God’s provision, and experience the transformative power of living according to God’s principles.
Matthew 6:33 encapsulates a profound spiritual truth that guides believers on their journey of faith. By seeking first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, individuals align their lives with God’s purposes and experience the fulfillment of their needs. As Christians, embracing this teaching invites us to place God at the center of our lives and prioritize our relationship with Him above all else.

Satan Definition
in Basic Life Principals, Educational
There are quite a few Satan definitions outlined in the scriptures. We will take a look at the different roles Satan in the bible plays or different personalities if you will. One of Satan definitions would be The Devil. This is a common description of Satan and one the we are all familiar with. Along with the devil, comes his demons. The devil and his demons. We know from the New Testament that Jesus drove out demons from several people during His ministry. See Mark 5:1-13. This is the story of a man called Legion. He was called this because he was possessed by so many demons. Jesus cast them out of this man and let them enter into a herd of 2,000 pigs. So Satan is real and so are his demons.
Satan has a purpose. Along with numerous other names, definitions, or personalities, as defined in scripture define his intentions. Every one of these personalities point to his evil character. The chief characteristics we find are his dedicated hostility, cunning ways, immense power, and evil intent toward God and His people using the appearance of good to destroy us all. Who would that leave out? Nobody, Satan wants to destroy us all. How does he do that without my permission? Lets take a look and see if you recognize any of these.
Another one of Satan’s definitions is The Temper. Satan tempts us to sin. He wants to bring out the worst in us. Matthew 4:3 the tempter came and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, command these stones to become loaves of bread”. Here Satan had convinced the Pharisees that Jesus was the ruler of demons. But the Pharisees said, “By the ruler of the demons He drives out demons”. [Matthew 9:34]
Satan has a lot of people today believing that if God were real He wouldn’t allow all the evil and suffering that is in the world. Fact is, without this evil and suffering people would not seek God or His kingdom. They wouldn’t need God. Really think about that! Actually, he has made it possible through His Son to defeat Satan by defeating death. Peter tells us in 2 Peter 1:3-4 that God had provided us (his children) everything pertaining to life and godliness and that we become partakers of the divine nature having escaped the corruption that is in the world. Its very important to see that we (his children) have been rescued from the domain of darkness (this world) into the kingdom of His Son. Colossians 1:13. Satan will do everything in his power to prevent us from entering God’s kingdom.
This brings us to another Satan definition. Father of Lies. Satan is the one who originated lies. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own nature: for he is a liar and the father thereof. John 8:44 More on the father of lies later.
Deceiver of the whole world. This fallen angel deceives the unbelieving world.
And the great dragon was cast down, the old serpent, he that is called the Devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world; he was cast down to earth, and his angels were cast down with him. [Revelation 12:9] How is that possible? He does it using all his personalities while giving the appearance of good! Do we make it easy for him? I can hear him now saying with most people ” it’s like taking candy from a baby” If we live according to the flesh he’s got us. We must walk according to the spirit Galatians 5:16-17
There are a lot of biblical teachings out there that are very popular and attract a lot of people. We will be looking at some of those teachings. People have different reasons for believing what they believe which unfortunately doesn’t always follow what Christ taught. Some even say it doesn’t matter what you believe, as long as you believe. Don’t be deceived!
We all need to understand the purpose of why Jesus came to the earthand what he taught.. Anyone who seeks first the kingdom of God and His righteousness will find out. Matthew 6:33
Your journey to seek the kingdom of God should be like a breath of fresh air. You should have a hunger and thirst for righteousness.
One question that you may want to ask is “What makes this study any different than anybody else’s”? and that’s a fair question. I use the same bible and refer to the same scriptures but what makes this study different is we will be purposely identifying all Satan’s definition and roles.
We now know the power of Satan, but in the course of our lives we might have gotten complacent and unfortunately we might accept things as normal when in fact they keep us separated from God. Satan and his demons have many roles to which they use to keep us deceived. We need to know these so we can use the full armor of God to resist him.
You see? Unfortunately this is what we are up against in learning what Christ was trying to teach us. It’s any wonder that anyone can find the truth. The United States alone has over 200 church denominations and there are over 4,500 religious denominations,,,, yes that’s right……. 4,500 all over the world. This is very dangerous! Jesus did not come to the earth to establish a religion. He came to establish His kingdom. He wouldn’t instruct us to seek it if it wasn’t available to find.
Remember what we just read about Satan? Father of Lies and Deceiver of the World. Satan doesn’t care if we believe in God or even go to Church. Sadly, Satan can even quote scripture. Satan will do anything to keep us from becoming a child of God by knowing the truth and obeying Christ’s teachings. How many weapons does Satan have to use to keep us content and not knowing Christ’s truths?
Next question, how many weapons are you using to fight Satan? Our resources are so much more powerful and effective if we learn how to use them with power provided for us from our Lord. The Good News is: If our hearts are open and we are seeking the truth no matter where it leads, Jesus promises us that we will find it. God knows our hearts and our motives. Jesus tells us in Matthew 7:10 that if your son asks you for a fish you would not give him a snake would you? So, as you start your journey is search of Gods Kingdom, open your heart so that you can see and understand Christ teachings in the way Christ intended for them to be understood. I’ll say again, the way Christ intended for His teachings to be understood. Let’s not let Satan deceive us. Let’s not believe his lies. Jesus will provide everything we need to live an eternal life in His eternal kingdom. That’s His promise to us.
For Thine is the Kingdom, The Power, and The Glory. Amen!

Premillennialism – True or false?
in Educational
Interest in events that will occur at the end of time have always held the attention of religious people. This interest has spawned a variety of fanciful theories about what will happen at the end of time. One such theory on this subject is the false doctrine of premillennialism. Basically this doctrine (and there are variations of its teachings) argues that since the Jews rejected Christ as their king He had to take an alternate route and set up the church until such time that people would accept Him as king! Thus the argument is that the establishment of the kingdom (which was the purpose of Christ’s coming) had to be postponed until a later time. This essentially argues that God was not able through Christ to do what He had planned to do! Who can believe this? The fact is that millions of people believe this theory. This makes it the more dangerous and damnable.
The premillennial time line is something like the following: During the personal ministry of Jesus, Israel rejected Him as king, thus postponing the kingdom’s establishment. For the interim period Christ had to settle for the establishment of His church. This church age or Christian age continues until a time when the first resurrection (the resurrection fo the righteous) will occur. At that time the living saints will be raptured up to be with Christ for seven years. These seven years will see tremendous tribulation on earth. Then Christ will return with the saints for a 1000 year reign from his Kingdom throne in Jerusalem. During this time Satan will be bound and all the Jews will be gathered to Jerusalem. At the end of this 1000 years period the second resurrection (resurrection of the wicked) will occur. Then judgment is pronounced and the righteous go on to heaven and the wicked to hell. This, essentially, is a description of the doctrine of premillennialism.
In order to support the theory of premillennialism several false teachings must be upheld. We will study the major errors.
The first error is that the premillennialists argue that God did not know that the Jews would reject Christ. This is false. John records these words: “But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him: That the saying of Esaias the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, Lord, who hath believed our report? And to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed? (John 12:37-38). Thus God DID know that the Jews would reject Jesus.
Then the argument is that Christ established the church because He was rejected. This is not the reason for the church’s establishment. Paul wrote in Ephesians 3:10-11: “To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God, According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:” God had “eternally” purposed that through the church His wisdom would be made known.
The premillennialists argue that the kingdom has not yet been established. Yet Jesus said in Mark 9:1: “Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power.” There would have to be living people over 2000 years old today if the Kingdom has not come! Also the Scriptures teach that the apostles were to receive power of the Holy Spirit that would enable them to preach the Gospel to the whole world (Acts 1:8). This power came to the apostles on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2:1-4).
The premillennialists argue that the land promise made to Abraham was never totally fulfilled. Yet Nehemiah 9:7-8 says that God had “performed thy words” to give the land of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Jebusites, and Girgashites to Abraham’s seed!
The premillennialists fail to see that the kingdom and the church refer to the same institution (Matt. 16:16-19) and that the kingdom of Christ is spiritual in nature (John 18:36).
The premillennialists fail to recognize that the Bible speaks of only ONE resurrection (John 5:28-29). They misrepresent through faulty interpretation the meaning of Revelation 20:1-6 and they fail to recognize that Jesus’ work on earth is FINISHED. Jesus said, I have glorified thee on earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do (John 17:4).
The premillennialists are victims of the fruitful imaginations of theologians. They should reject all the theories of men and go back to God’s Word to see the true nature of the church of Christ, which is the Kingdom of Christ.

Kingdom of God
The people living during that time were waiting for the kingdom of God to come but they could not comprehend what Jesus was teaching them. They we looking for a physical kingdom with a King ruling their bordered land. Jesus message never changed. It is still the same today. Lets think about this, Jesus establishes a kingdom and tells us to seek it. He tells us that you will have to go down a narrow paths and few will find it.
He gives us a treasure map (bible) and a helper,(holy spirit), as our guide. One of the first things we are told to do is be born again to enter the kingdom of God. After all that, He says when you find it, you can’t see it, but it will be everlasting. This whole time Jesus wants us to trust Him. Give up your life and trust Him. Die to yourself and trust Him. That’s a big ask! Can we do it? Jesus wants us to be assured of all these things hoped for and be convicted of all of them even though they are not seen. Let me repeat what I just said to see if that sounds familiar to anyone.
“Jesus wants us to be assured of all these things hoped for and be convicted of all of them even though they are not seen”. That is the definition of Faith! Hebrews 11:1 says; Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. Where does faith come from and how do we obtain and grow faith? Check Romans 10:17; So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Do we have to have faith? Hebrews 11:6; And without faith it is impossible to please Him for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him. Notice, there is that word “seek” again.
There’s your answer! Notice verse 6 didn’t stop after he said he who comes to God must believe that He is, but He only rewards those who believe that He is and who seek Him. Again, there is that word “seek”.
Let me make another important point here; if we don’t build our faith based on the word of God, how will he write his laws on our hearts and in our minds. Remember, the kingdom of God is a mystery at this point as the scripture refers.
We cannot deviate when we are seeking the righteousness of God, we have to follow our treasure map (bible) and be led by our guide (Holy Spirit). We receive the Holy Spirit when we are born again and enter the kingdom of God.
Matthew 7: 1-5; 1. “Do not judge, so that you will not be judged. 2. For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you. 3. Why do you look at the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? 4. Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ and look, the log is in your own eye? 5. You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye!
Jesus starts off in this chapter giving instruction on judging. When we judge, we have become judges therefore putting ourselves above the person we are judging. Back in Matthew chapter 6, in verses 33 Jesus had just told the crowd to seek first His kingdom and His righteousness and he would add the things necessary to meet our physical needs so we wouldn’t be anxious for anything. This is so we can build our faith in God while we seek His kingdom and righteousness. So why would he immediately after saying that, tell the crowd to not judge? Jesus wants us to focus on our relationships with the Father and our relationships with one another. This teaching is the foundation of His whole sermon in Mathew 5,6,& 7. Remember, we are looking at the nature of Gods kingdom. When we start judging others, all it does is put both parties in a bad light plus when others hear you judge, it makes them wonder if you are going to start judging them. Here is why we should never judge others
· We judge when we think the worst of others.
· We judge when we only speak to others about their faults.
·We judge when we reflect on an entire life only by its worst moments.
·We judge when we state the hidden motives of others.
· We judge when we look at others without considering ourselves in their same circumstances.
· We judge when we condemn others without being mindful that we ourselves will be judged in the same way.
God will judge us according to the same measure we judge others. This is not only a powerful motivation for us to be generous with love, forgiveness, and goodness to others. This is part of the nature of the kingdom of God. If we want more mercy from God, we should give more mercy to others.
Matthew 7: 6-12; 6. “Do not give what is holy to dogs, and do not throw your pearls before pigs, or they will trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.
7. “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. 9. Or what person is there among you who, when his son asks for a loaf of bread, will give him a stone? 10. Or if he asks for a fish, he will not give him a snake, will he? 11. So if you, despite being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!
12. “In everything, therefore, treat people the same way you want them to treat you, for this is the Law and the Prophets.
When Jesus says “do not give what is holy to the dogs”: He is warning us not to have a judgmental attitudes and self-blinded criticism, Jesus here makes clear that He did not mean to imply that the people of the kingdom of God quit all discernment. He is telling us that we must discern because there are some good and holy things that should not be given to those who will receive them with contempt. Basically, what Jesus means is, “Don’t be judgmental, but don’t throw out all discernment either.”
The dogs and swine here often symbolize those who are hostile to the Kingdom of God and the good news announcement of it. Our love for the kingdom and wanting all to find it, must not blind us to peoples hardened rejection of the good news of the kingdom. It could be that the dogs and swine represent hypocritical, judgmental believers. These sinning hypocrites should not be offered the pearls that belong in the kingdom of God. Of course, Jesus did not say this to discourage us from sharing the gospel of the kingdom. Previously in Matthew 5, Jesus told us to let our lights shine before the world (Matthew 5:13-16). Jesus said this to encourage us to always be ready to share the good new. However, when we find someone with a hardened heart that does not accept our teachings on the kingdom of God, we must shake the dust off our feet. However, when we find open hearts to accept Gods word, we become Ambassadors for Christ and share the good new of His kingdom.
Jesus wants us to keep on asking, seeking and knocking. “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.” Ask… seek… knock: Jesus is telling us to take action. Every word here is an action word that describes what Jesus is telling us we need to do, and if we will do these things, He promises us that we will receive the positive reward of the action. Ask – receive, Seek – find, knock – opened. Do we believe this?
How do we ask? Go into an inner room and pray. Talk to God one on one and share with Him the condition of your heart.
Next, how do we seek? First we pray to let God know that we want to find His kingdom and righteousness and ask for guidance for the truth no matter where it leads. Let God know you want to put Him first when seeking.
Lastly, how do we knock? We knock on the door of the kingdom whenever we see an opportunity to be obedient to God. When He shows you how to become a child of God, you obey and do things His way according to His righteousness accepting Gods plan of redemption, justification, and sanctification.
Remember, never lose sight or forget that God knows our hearts. He will write His laws on our heart and in our minds according to His righteousness, but not according to our righteousness.
Looking at verses 9-11 We see the giving nature of God. “Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for a loaf, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a snake? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!” This isn’t just about food, it’s about nutrition for our souls by seeking His righteousness.
If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to His children? This is Gods answer to a seeking heart.
I can tell you and everybody else, when Jesus says if any of you ask, you shall receive; if you seek, you will find, and if you knock it shall be opened to you. Amen and Amen it’s true. God will do that for
anyone that is seeking Him. The word of God when planted, watered, and nurtured, will grow a child of God. He knows our hearts. This journey is for all who wish to seek the kingdom of God. Our aim is to learn why Jesus came to earth, what he taught, and how and when we might join him.
As we seek the kingdom of heaven, we seek to understand what Jesus taught, and to understand his teachings in the way he intended for us to understand them. We ask the right questions along the way that make us seek the answers so we can learn all we can about Jesus and the kingdom of God. We seek to learn as much as we can about our King so as to be able to honor and worship him. We continue to seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness to be ambassadors for Christ so that we can share the gospel of the Kingdom with all those who want to seek. Thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory.

The most sobering teachings from Jesus from His sermon on the Mount are found in Matthew 7. Some things He said are hard to hear, but they are part of His teachings on the kingdom that we all need to hear. They start in Matthew 7 1 when Jesus says judge not lest you be judged. As we continue in Matthew 7 we come to, Matt 7:13-14 13. “Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. 14. For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.
Here in the picture provided, I want to present a visual to help us understand what Jesus is saying. This is a picture of a large gate with the majority of people in this photo are going towards it. This photo is symbolic of paths we choose today. The wide gate leads to destruction and many are those who enter by it. It doesn’t say many are those who choose it. These people don’t know they are going down a path of destruction. It’s a non decision. They go along because they think that is the only way or because it seems that’s the normal way since everybody else seems to be going that way. They have been going down this path all their lives. Many of them are church goers.
In Proverbs Solomon says twice in Proverbs in chapter 14:12 and again in chapter 16:25 There is a way that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death.
Can you see another gate in that photo? How many people are going toward that gate? This is a perfect illustration of what Jesus is telling us. The road less traveled will lead to Life. Few people find the small gate to the narrow path because they are not looking for it. If you don’t seek it, you cannot find it. How many people that go through the wide gate believe in God? They are going through life as if everything is normal taking one day at a time.
In Matthew 24:37-39 37. “For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah, 38. For as in those days which were before the flood they were eating and drinking, they were marrying and giving in marriage, until the day Noah entered the ark.39.and they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away; so shall the coming of the Son of Man be.
The first thing we must know is there is no warning. We must be prepared. Notice in verse 39 they it says “they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away.” Basically, they didn’t know what hit them but, “not understanding” didn’t change anything. They were still a victim of the flood.
In these last days, God has put in place a plan of redemption that all of us who know this plan will seek His kingdom and His righteousness, be born again, receive the Holy Spirit, and have an interactive relationship with our King. Those who die to themselves will have everlasting life. He made it where we either choose Him through our obedience or we choose the world.
Remember Noah? He was found to be righteous in Gods eyes Gen 6:8-9 8. But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord. 9. These are the records of the generations of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his time; Noah walked with God.
Then in Genesis 7:1 Then the Lord said to Noah, Enter the ark, you and all your household; for you alone I have seen to be righteous before Me in this time.
Noah spent 120 years building the ark. You see?, the ark was gods plan of salvation at that time. Only those who entered the ark would be saved. Only those God found to be righteous could enter the ark. Noah proved his righteousness by being obedient to God and building the ark. Was Noah able to build that ark any way he saw fit? No, absolutely not. If you have time, read Genesis chapter 6. There you will see Gods plan to flood the earth, the condition of man, along with Noah’s instructions to buid the ark. Noah did built it according to Gods will, not his.
Thank God for Noah. Today, the bible continues to be the number one best seller. It has been the best seller of all time. I know that in this part of the world, if you were to ask people, probable over 80% of everyone asked would claim to be a Christian. Most of them (not all) probably own or have owned a bible at one time or another. But I would venture to guess that less than 10% have read the bible all the way through. Not even the new Testament. If you stop and think about it, the bible is the only source we have that we don’t have to discern whether it is from God. We just have to discern what others tell us it says or what certain scriptures mean.
I want to do a little exercise with you. Try to imagine that there is going to be a second flood and everything and everybody will be destroyed. You learn that God had someone build another ark according to His specifications and everyone that wanted to be saved from a second flood could enter it. You also learned there are many others who heard of the upcoming flood were going to build arks too. Lets say there would be 49 fake arks that had the outside appearance of Gods ark. These 49 arks were built by men who thought they’re way to build the ark would be easier, hold more people, and make it enjoyable for those on board. However, unbeknownst to them, none of these 49 arks would float more than 30 days.
You learn there was a blueprint of Gods ark. Anybody could get a copy of the blueprint if they ask for it. Once you received your copy of the blueprint, you realize it didn’t tell you where the ark was located. You learned from the blueprint how big it would be, who was building it, how to enter it, even how to conduct yourself and get along with the other passengers.
So, with a copy of the blueprint, you can recognize it, so you decide to seek it. You take the blueprint along your journey. You get all excited about seeking this new ark and finding it, you want to tell everyone you know so they can choose the same ark as you. After seeking and going through some rough places it starts to feel right and you feel like you are being led to the ark. You start to realize now that there is no turning back and your life will never be the same. When you look on the other side of the blueprint, you see a manual attached to it. When you open the manual it tells you what it will be like inside the ark, and that you will be safe until a man named Jesus comes to take all the passengers home. The manual even tells you who Jesus is and how it came to be that He would gather all who are in the ark and take them home.
That blueprint and that manual becomes your most cherished possessions. You study them as often as you can so you will know when you find the right ark. You can’t afford to get on board the wrong one.
After seeking and seeking and seeking, you come over a hill and down below you find what you are looking for. You see an ark. Is it the right one? You look around and you don’t see very many people around. What’s the deal? Does nobody want to enter this ark? You see a ramp lowered to the ground that leads up to a door. This door is closed. You walk around the ark and don’t see anybody or any other way to enter. You go back to the ramp. You’ve looked at the manual and blueprints so many times that you believe it looks like the ark that you’ve been seeking. You decide to walk up the ramp all the way to the door. You know you need to enter this ark. You decide to knock on the door hoping someone would open it so you could enter. As you guessed, the door was opened. Once inside, it was realized that they never would have found that ark if they had not asked. They realized they would not have found that ark if they didn’t seek it. They realized they wouldn’t have been able to enter the ark if they hadn’t knocked.
In this exercise, the ark represent the kingdom of God and the blueprint represents the scriptures that show us how we will recognize His kingdom, and the manual make up the scriptures that teaches us the laws of the kingdom, including how we enter, and all the benefits along with the sufferings. The manual also warns us of teachings that do nothing but tickle our ears and to beware of false teachers with false teachings.
Matthew 7:14 “For the gate is small, and the way is narrow that leads to life, and few there are those who find it.”
There are numerous reasons why there will only be a few who find it. First reason is because the won’t seek it. You can’t find something you don’t seek. Some will start out looking and decide it’s too hard. God want us to choose Him and seek Him no matter what.
Mostly all reasons few people will find it will lead back to Satan one way or another. He couldn’t keep the kingdom from coming, so he has to go to plan B. To stop us from finding His kingdom. Satan will allow us to go to church and believe that Jesus is the son of God. He and his demons believe that. We are the only ones that will give an answer to God. Our preacher can’t stand up there with us. Nobody can.
Our goal is to let God write his laws onto our hearts and in our minds. We have to know His word well enough to discern the truth from a false teacher. Always know that Satan is the deceiver of the world, Father of lies, and will use ways with the appearance of good to destroy us because we did not diligently present ourselves approved to God handling accurately the word if truth.
2 Timothy 2:15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, handling accurately the word of truth.
We continue with Matthew 7:15-23 15. “Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. 16. You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes, nor figs from thistles, are they? 17. So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit. 18. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20. So then, you will know them by their fruits.
21. “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of My Father who is in heaven. 22. Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’ 23. And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS”.
Jesus has just warned us of a broad path that leads to destruction. Now He wants us to know that there are many who will try to lead us along that path. The first step to combating these false prophets or false teachers is to know that they are everywhere. They think they can lure is in with their large crowds, smooth talk, and successful lifestyles. When I say successful I mean according to mans standards. Some people tend to think that the bigger the house, the richer they are. and an eloquent speaker must be blessings from God. I’m not saying that having those things means you cant be right with God, I’m just saying that those are not a way to measure Gods approval of their message.
They will come to you wearing sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves: It is in the nature of these false prophets and teachers to hide their true character to deceive us. They deceive even themselves, believing themselves to be sheep when in fact they are ravenous wolves. Again, Satan is at work to deceive and confuse us.
“The basic fruit of the false prophet is their own self interest.” They show it by a desire for gain or an easy life, a desire for mans approval, or they promote their own ideas and not God’s ideas.
You will know them by their fruits: We protect ourselves against false prophets by knowing their fruits. This means observing the habits of their life and ministry. They may brag on all their education to impress how smart they are without telling you how they were poor in spirit at any point in their life and how they hungered and thirst for righteousness. No, I’m not judging, I’ll let God do that, but i would never put my soul in their hands and be spoon fed. Seek for yourself. Learn Gods word so not to be tossed back and forth by every wind of doctrine.
Paul tells us in Ephesians 4:13-14 13. until we all attain to the unity of faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fulness of Christ. 14. As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves, and carried out by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by the craftiness in deceitful scheming;
We should also observe the manner of living a teacher shows. Do they show the righteousness of God, do they show humility and faithfulness in their lives? We should most importantly discern their biblical teachings. Is it in accordance with God’s Word, or is it man-made doctrine, appealing to ears that want to be tickled.
verse 21: Not everyone who says to me Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven; but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven.
Pay close attention here, first of all, these are religious people. Don’t confuse being religious with being righteous. They feel like they have a relationship with our Lord. We know this because they call Him Lord, Lord. It could be assumed that these people prayed to our Lord and thought they were living a religious life. We will see that they were living a self righteous life and their relationship with their Lord was on their terms.
Jesus then says “but he who does the will of My Father”. He is telling everyone what is required to enter the kingdom of heaven. Here we can clearly see that Jesus is letting us know that false prophets or false teachers can lead us down a path that makes us think we have a relationship with our Lord, when in fact, we don’t produce good fruit because we are not following the will of the Father. They may have let someone just tell them what the bible taught, or just assumed that it didn’t matter what you believe as long as you believe. First of all, they didn’t ask, seek, or knock to learn Gods will or seek the righteousness of God to be right with God. Abiding by His will.
Hebrews 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him, (did he say seek?)
In verses 22-23 Jesus is declaring that there will be a time when it will be too late. That will be judgement day! That is what he meant when He said “On that day” It’s also very important to take notice that these were not bad people. These are very religious people. Do you remember when Jesus told the people in Matthew 5:20 “For I say to you, that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the scribes and Pharisees, you shall not enter the kingdom of heaven “? Remember how the people were shocked because they thought that the scribes and Pharisees were the standard for righteousness and couldn’t understand how they could be more righteous than they were. It didn’t become clear until they saw that the new covenant would be based on the motives of our hearts.
Matthew 7: 24-27 24. “Therefore, everyone who hears these words of Mine, and acts on them, will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25. And the rain fell and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock. 26. And everyone who hears these words of Mine, and does not act on them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. 27. And the rain fell and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and it fell, and and great was its fall.”
Simply hearing God’s Word isn’t enough to provide us the secure foundation. It is necessary that we are also doers of His Word.
The sad truth here is that even though we hear or go to hear Gods word, and then doing nothing makes us the same as an unbeliever. The storm is coming whether we act or not.
Matthew 7:28-29 28. When Jesus had finished these words, the crowds were amazed at His teaching; 29. for He was teaching them as one who had authority, and not as their scribes.
The people were astonished at His teachings: Whenever God’s Word is presented as it truly is, with its inherent power, it will astonish people and set itself apart from the mere opinions of man.
Thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory.

Meaning of Matt 6:33
in Basic Life Principals, Educational, Kingdom Of God
In Matthew 6:33, Jesus imparts a profound teaching when He says, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.” This powerful phrase reveals a key principle of Christian faith, emphasizing the importance of prioritizing our relationship with God above all else. As we look deeper into this verse’s meaning we find timeless wisdom that resonates with believers across generations.
In order to understand the significance of this verse, it is important to consider its contextual setting. In the verses prior, Jesus addressed the crowd, teaching about the worries of life, such as food, clothing, and material possessions. He also encouraged the crowd not to be overly consumed by these matters, emphasizing that God knows all their needs and will provide for them.
The phrase “Seek ye first” indicates that followers of Jesus are called to an active pursuit of God’s kingdom. That means that each of us must prioritize and diligently strive for something that is of the highest priority. Jesus insists that each of His followers prioritize the “kingdom of God” above all other pursuits. Nothing is more important and everything in our lives is intended to support this singular pursuit.
The lesson conveyed in Matthew 6:33 is still relevant in today’s fast-paced and materialistic world. It challenges each one of us to examine our lives and invest our time, energy, and resources in pursuing an interactive relationship with God. By doing so, we will discover a deeper sense of purpose, find solace in God’s provision, and experience God’s transformative power changing our hearts that we may live according to His principles and doing His will.
So then, what is the kingdom of God or kingdom of heaven? They both refer to the reign of God, His sovereignty and absolute authority over all of His creation. It is God’s reign in the hearts of believers, the establishment of His divine principles, and the fulfillment of His will. It means we have aligned our lives with the values, teachings, and purposes of God’s will, as He has revealed through scripture. Seeking the kingdom of God involves acknowledging God as the ultimate authority and Jesus as King of our lives, intentionally placing Him above all other worldly ambitions and desires.
Additionally, King Jesus mentions seeking “His righteousness” alongside the kingdom of God. This call for righteousness refers to a life characterized by moral integrity, holiness, and obedience to God’s commandments. It means, striving to live in harmony with God’s will and embodying the principles taught by Jesus which will make us right with God.
Matthew 6:33 also imparts a profound spiritual truth that guides all believers on their journey of faith. When we seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, we strive to live our lives with God’s purposes and we get to experience the fulfillment of all our needs. As Christians, God invites us to put Him at the center of our lives and walk in an interactive relationship with Him, prioritizing His kingdom above all else.

What is the Gospel?
in Basic Life Principals, Educational, Kingdom Of God
What is the Gospel in the Bible? The gospel in the bible is the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Look at what Jesus was doing immediately after His resurrection up until His ascension. I find this part interesting because it is the transition from Jesus on earth to King Jesus in heaven at the right hand of God. Most people don’t know that Jesus was still on the earth for 40 days after His resurrection. [Acts 1: 1-3] What was he doing? He was still teaching His disciples what is the gospel Why didn’t He go on up to heaven after He appeared to His people That? And it’s hard to talk about Him ascending without talking about His coming back. That is why we must learn what is the gospel is now. Since the word gospel mean “good news”, and since Jesus was preaching all about His kingdom and that it was near, we learn that the gospel is good new about the kingdom of God. Period!
Luke 1: 1-4 1. Since many have undertaken to compile an account of the things accomplished among us, 2. just as they were handed down to us by those who from the beginning were eyewitnesses and servants of the word, 3. it seemed fitting to me as well, having investigated everything carefully from the beginning, to write it out for you in an orderly sequence, most excellent Theophilus; 4. so that you may know the exact truth about the things you have been taught.
Theophilis must have been a man of stature because Luke referred to him as “Most Excellent Theophilis”.
The book of Acts is the second book written By Luke. Luke who was a physician, addressed both books to a man name Theophilis.
Acts 1:1-2 1. The first account I composed, Theophilus, about all that Jesus began to do and teach, 2. until the day when He was taken up to heaven, after He had given orders by the Holy Spirit to the apostles whom He had chosen.
There is no mention that Jesus showed himself to the population and did any miracles. There was no need. On the cross, He said “it is finished” If we look at
John 19: 28-30 28. After this Jesus, knowing that all things had already been accomplished, in order that the scripture might be fulfilled, said, “I am thirsty”, 29. A jar full of sour wine was standing there; so they puta sponge full of sour wine upon a branch of hyssop, and brought it up to His mouth. 30. When Jesus therefore had received the sour wine, He said, “it is finished!” And He bowed His head, and gave up His Spirit.
One interesting fact here is that knew every prophesy had been fulfilled but one. He said “I am thirsty so the last one could be accomplished.
Psalm 69: 21 ^^^^^^ 21. They also gave me gall for my food, And for my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.
Now it was finished! No more prophesy to be fulfilled.
After the resurrection, Jesus appeared to His apostles speaking of the things concerning the kingdom of God and giving them instructions for forty days and then he was “lifted up” to heaven. Jesus’s death and resurrection are at the very heart of the kingdom message proclaimed by Jesus’s followers. However, for many, Jesus’s ascension is simply a minute detail to His death and resurrection. The apostles had to be so convinced of His resurrection so they could learn the final teachings from Jesus on the kingdom. This was their final preparation. In fact, after He had commanded them to go to Jerusalem and wait for the promised gift, if it was going to be at that time He would restore the kingdom to Israel. Maybe it was during this 40 day period that Jesus explains the magnitude of the kingdom to them. This is the first indication that they knew the kingdom was coming and that Jesus would not be there in person but was gong to send the Holy Spirit.
They knew that Jesus was not just leaving the earth, but putting himself in a position to take over as our King, overseeing everything as He sits at the right hand of God. Now he can send the Holy Spirit (helper) to the Apostles and let them open the doors to the kingdom so that everyone who believes can also receive the Holy Spirit.
We not only should look at Jesus’s Life before His crucifixion while he was going around teaching about the gospel of the kingdom and doing miracles, but what He did after His resurrection up until He ascends into heaven.
After his resurrection Jesus told his apostles in Luke 24:49 “And behold, I am sending the promise of my Father upon you. But stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high”
During his sermon on Pentecost, In Acts 2:33 Peter explains, 33. “Therefore having been exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He has poured forth this which you both see and hear”.
What he was referring to:
Acts2:2-4 2. And suddenly there came from heaven a noise like a violent rushing wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3. And there appeared to them tongues as of fire distributing themselves, and they rested on each one of them. 4. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues as the Spirit was giving them utterance.
God promised in Joel 2:28 that He would pour out His spirit. 28. “I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh.”
After Jesus ascended to the right hand of God, He sent the Holy Spirit to be present with his Apostles and empower them for their mission and to transform believers to live new lives reflecting their king and His kingdom.
Let look at Romans 8:9-11 9. However, you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him. 10. If Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is alive because of righteousness. 11. But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.
Jesus is now a mediator between God and man.
1 Timothy 2:5. 5. For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,
His death and resurrection completes Gods plan of redemption for man. With Him at the right hand of God reigning as our King, and His Holy Spirit sent to guide us and intercede for us, it’s possible now to become one of His children and have everlasting life.
Lastly, In Acts 1:11 Two angels explain to the disciples,
11. “This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.”
A lot of pre millennialist say this proves that Jesus will come back to the earth to set up His physical kingdom but that is not what happens. His kingdom is established on the earth and will last forever.
When Jesus returns, it will go like this;
1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 16. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first. 17. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18. Therefore comfort one another with these words.
Jesus will descend from heaven the same way He ascended into heaven and after those who are dead in Christ and those of us who are alive and still living in Christ have met Jesus in the air, Jesus will deliver up the kingdom to the Father.
1 Cor 15:23-24 23. But each in his own order: Christ the first fruits, after that those who are Christ’s at His coming, 24. then comes the end, when He delivers up the kingdom to the God and Father, when He abolished all rule and all authority and power.
Finally, after Jesus gathers the kingdom and delivers it to God the Father, that will be the end of this world.
Peter 3:10-13 10. But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heaven will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and it’s works will be burned up. 11. Since all these things are to be destroyed in this way, what sort of people ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, 12. looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, on account of which the heavens will be destroyed by burning, and the elements will melt with intense heat! 13. But according to His promise we are looking for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells. ^^^^^^^
In which righteousness dwells. Remember Noah? He and his family were the only ones to enter the ark. Noah was the only one before the world was destroyed by water found to be righteous in Gods eyes. The only ones of us that God finds righteous can enter the kingdom.
You see, King Jesus,” reigns from heaven, through the Holy Spirit, by his people, to continue spreading the gospel of the kingdom and making disciples of all nations.
Jesus ascended to heaven to the right hand of God when everything was ready here on the earth. Jesus now sits on His throne reining until the fulness of time. What a day of rejoicing it will be when He returns to gather us up and take us home forever to be with Him.
Always remember, our lives in Gods kingdom are not merely thoughts, feelings, and words, but are built on a trust in God that leads to obedience and an interactive relationship with Him now.
