Don’t Worry, Seek First God’s Kingdom

Posted on

In today’s world, it is easy to get caught up in worry. We worry about our jobs, our health, our finances, and our relationships. But Jesus teaches us in Matthew 6:33 not to worry, but to seek first God’s kingdom and His righteousness.

What does it mean to seek first God’s kingdom? It means to put God and His will at the top of our priorities. It means to live our lives in accordance with His Word and His commandments. It means to love Him with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength.

When we seek first God’s kingdom, He promises to take care of our needs. He knows what we need even before we ask Him. He will provide for us both physically and spiritually.

So, don’t worry about tomorrow. Don’t worry about what might happen. Instead, focus on seeking first God’s kingdom and His righteousness. When you do that, you can be confident that He will take care of you.

Here are some additional thoughts on how to apply this teaching to our lives:

We can seek God’s kingdom by spending time in His Word and in prayer.
We can seek God’s righteousness by living our lives in obedience to Him.
We can seek God’s kingdom by serving others and helping those in need.
We can seek God’s kingdom by being a peacemaker and bringing reconciliation to our world.
When we seek first God’s kingdom, we can experience the peace and joy that only He can give. We can live our lives with confidence, knowing that He is in control.
